President Sid Finkelstein started as a life insurance agent in 1957.
He worked through the ranks to be a Toronto manager of a major life insurance company for 20 years. North York Insurance was developed as an MGA (managing General Agent), and has been steadily growing ever since.
In 1984, Phillip Youngs joined the management team, helping to expand our portfolio to include the brokerage of Property & Casualty Insurance. Since it's inception, he has been the Vice-President and general manager of North York Insurance Brokers Ltd.
Shortly thereafter, our newest division, North York Financial Services Limited, was added to the fold, providing a wide range of finanical services, including mutual & segregated funds. David Snider, who joined the firm in 1984, is the Vice-President and general manager of both the life insurance and financial services divisions, as well as being administration manager for the office.
